![]() Might be able to skip using the line in all together by sending it out of reaper into another analogue input on your interface if you have one free and can get discord to recognise it. better to handle getting a nice clean sound in reaper with their gates (reaGate) and noise suppression (ReaFir), the latter of which you can automatically subtract noise of your computer fan etc. it would just flat out mute some things that didnt sound like a voice to it i think. One thing i found with discord is that all their noise suppression options got real screwed up and worked better if turned off. allowed me to mix it in reaper and add compressors/gates/dumb voice mods etc. Its a bit of a round a bout way of doing it but it works. Might have to mess around with the line in volume, i found windows was automatically lowering volumes if something clipped, theres some setting to stop it doing that somewhere. Untick master send so i couldnt hear it then send that into my motherboard line in. I had my mic going into the interface, then on the reaper track open the i/o option and "add new hardware output" sending the signal to line out 9+10 Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 - Plugging in, Downloading Drivers, Using the Windows 10 Sound Settings Panel.I also show how I set up the Focusrite 2i2 while running. ![]() With reaper i didnt notice much in the way of latency unless adding effects preopening compressors and the like. it should make more channel options show up if you have more channels at least. ![]() ![]() Yeh the icon in the bottom right, right click, expose/hide windows channels. ![]()
